Gave a technical + econimical + career focused presentation with a demonstration to boost the morale of students, especially those who took Master's in Electronics after Bachelor's in Physics - - branded as a cross-major, considered as an outcast by the Indian academic community and mentally crucified by people locally, even though electronics is well within the realm of Physics - - due to lack of awareness. Our team's goal was to empower the children and students with career guidance. During this tenure, we conducted multiple periodic visits associated with events such as sports, games, skit, rallies and cultural celebrations both for the parents and the students in the village of Ambedkar Nagar, Trichy, while exposing them to the opportunities this world has to offer in terms of education. Events were planned and arranged by our team based on the feedback from the target audience. Special programs focused on the high school students of that village were conducted to create awareness about various undergraduate courses, their requirements and their future prospects. Served as a member of women empowerment team in Sathyavani Muthu Nagar, which is a slum located in Chennai along the banks of Cooum river. We conducted multiple programs for bringing awareness to the women in that area for obtaining stimulus packages, self-help training, and equipments like sewing machine depending on their situation for improving their livelihood with priority to single mothers. Besides, we understood a great deal about the general consensus among the people in that area about the location of their slum, it's contribution towards enroachment of the river banks and the resulting 2015 floods in Chennai which was also documented by our team.
